tax incentives to buy as well! As of

homes for sale in Colorado Springs and the surrounding
areas of the Pikes Peak region. Some of these areas include Black
Forest, Monument, Palmer Lake, Falcon, Fountain, Widefield, Woodland
Park and Divide.
Colorado Springs depends on our Armed Forces as a part of national security, as well as a key part of the local economy. The Air Force Academy, Fort Carson, Peterson Air Force Base, Schriever Air Force Base, Northern Command and NORAD, are all key installations and a vibrant part of our community, and we salute the members of the Armed Forces who are stationed here. Colorado Springs has a vibrant real estate market as a result of plentiful land, a fantastic climate, a growing economy, reasonable prices, and beautiful scenery. The community offers so much to so many. Colorado's world class ski areas such as Breckenridge, Keystone, Copper Mountain and Vail are only a couple of hours drive to the west, but we are blessed with almost 300 days of sun, and very few days of actual snow in Colorado Springs itself. Mountain biking, golfing, hiking, fishing and other outdoor sports are very popular. In addition, this is the home of the US Olympic Committee and the Olympic Training Center. Many amateur sports organizations are headquartered here, and athletes from around the world come here to train in all kinds of different sports. Local teams that we root for include Colorado College hockey, the Triple A Pacific Coast League Sky Sox baseball team, and wide variety of Air Force Academy teams (though football and basketball seem to get the most attention). In addition, the Denver Bronco's football team, Nuggets basketball, Colorado Rockies baseball, and Avalanche hockey draw a pretty strong fan base in the Springs, since it is only a 1 hour drive to home games. For music lovers, the Colorado Springs Philharmonic offers season tickets, and the World Arena which seats almost 8,000 draws concert talent from all over. Non profit organizations and Christian ministries also call Colorado Springs home. Some of our more famous organizations are Compassion International, The Navigators, and Focus on the Family. New Life Church and The World Prayer Center are also located here. The return of troops to Fort Carson from Iraq and the transfer of the 4th Infantry Division to Fort Carson from Fort Hood, Texas, is expected to boost area home sales and population significantly during 2009 and 2010. Thanks for visiting our site, we hope you come back often! Rick Rick Van
